When at rest this river is one of the most peaceful places on Earth, when it acts up, watch out. I have the good fortune to visit this place now once every summer and spent a lot of time during my summers growing up in this river. The pace is slower and people who live in this area understand the true meaning of life, helping your neighbors and going about a slower pace enjoying life and all of the things around you. Living in the middle of God's beauty day in and day out with few distractions makes you a different person, more true to yourself and to those around you.
